The Experience

When aboard Silver Dog we offer a great experience to first time or seasoned guests. We will make sure that you have a safe and accommodating trip but also work our hardest to catch as many fish as possible. Our goal is to make the most enjoyable trip and with some friendly competition that you will have one of the best catches in town.

Our Boat

Although one of the smaller charter boats in the fleet, rest assure that this can also put your group at an advantage. By making longer and faster runs to prime fishing grounds we are able to get away from other boats and fish more remotely. We will NEVER limit your success due to saving on fuel and not going the further distance to the best fishing spot. Groups of 1-4 guests are suggested.

The Captain

Originally from Ohio, capt. Alex Swartzlander (USCG Licensed) has been hooked and obsessed with fishing from an early age. Mainly fishing lakes and rivers across the Midwest. After going to college and majoring in Environmental Science he moved to Wisconsin strictly to fish Lake Michigan and start his fishing charter business. He has dedicated his life to fishing and sharing his true passion with others.

Our Guarantee

No matter how the fishing is, we promise to work our very hardest to give you the best trip possible. Although we realistically cannot guarantee that the fish will bite and the cooler gets filled, we will make sure that you catch at least one fish. If not, your trip will be free.

5 Hour Morning / 5 Hour Evening Trip

$550 - 1-2 people
$575 - 3 people

$600 - Up to 2 persons ($25 for each additional person, 4 total)

-Sales tax is already included in price

-$100 deposit is required for new guests, returning guest will not be required.

-Cancellations due to weather will be rebooked or deposit will be returned. If you have to cancel due to personal reasons please give us as much notice as possible (2 weeks).

-All major credit cards are accepted but a 3% fee will be added on total price. Cash is preferred.

What To Bring

-Wisconsin fishing license and Great Lakes Trout and Salmon stamp (over age 16). If out of state or a WI resident without a fishing license a two day license with a Trout and Salmon stamp can be purchased for $14. Please obtain your license before your trip (www.DNR.WI.gov or at baitshop).

-Seasonally appropriate clothing and soft soled shoes (dress in layers as it is normally colder on the lake).

-Sunglasses and sunblock

-Snacks and drinks (A large cooler is available for you to keep your drinks in or you can bring a small cooler aboard).

-Cooler with ice to take your catch home. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged at no additional charge. Please keep this cooler in your car until after the trip.

-Seasickness medication, if needed. (If you are unsure that you will get sick please take medication just in case especially for children). Also take this medication 30 minutes before arriving.

- Camera (We will also do our best to take some photos of your group unless not wanted)
